About Robin

Robin has been covering figure skating since 2005.

She began shooting figure skating in 2009 after she asked some friends to give her pointers to take a few shots to go with her articles.   At the time, she was serving as a journalist for Skatetoday.com.  Robin never had the intention of becoming a full-time photographer until she photographed her first event at the Lake Placid Figure Skating Championships.   From that time forward, Robin was bit by the photography bug and has worked as a freelance photographer covering figure skating throughout the world.

Robin’s photos have been featured in numerous magazines and such as International Figure Skating Magazine, Pirouette, Blades on Ice, Iskate and on numerous websites world wide.  She has periodically had her photos picked up by major photo agencies and worked with the International Skating Union on their Facebook page for five years.

Robin regularly covers international events including the Grand Prix Series, Europeans, Worlds (both Jr and Sr.), Four Continents, Synchro,  World Team Trophy, etc.   She often jokes that she racks on more miles in the air then she had on her 1990 Acura Integra.   Currently residing in California, she is expanding her horizons and covering other sports, shows, etc.   She is always looking for a new challenge and is never satisfied with the status quo.

The highlight for Robin is all the people she has met and the friendships she has developed around the world.
